The machine handles a wide range of wire materials and gauges: carbon steel (the most common for compression springs), stainless steel 304/316 (for corrosion-resistant applications in food, medical, and marine industries), and copper/brass wire (for electrical and decorative springs). Wire from 0.3 mm (fine watch springs and instrument springs) up to 4 mm (heavy compression springs for automotive and industrial use) is supported.
Spring outer diameter is adjustable from 3 mm to 50 mm using interchangeable forming pins. Pitch (coil-to-coil spacing) is steplessly adjustable from 0.5 mm to 10 mm using the digital pitch controller. Free length is set by the coil count and pitch combination, up to 300 mm finished spring length.
The semi-automatic design means the operator loads wire and initiates each coil via footswitch or button, while the machine controls forming, pitch advancement, and cutoff automatically. At 10–100 coils per minute, productivity is 5–10× manual coiling.
